Personal work : Character design

In my spare time I draw characters based on manga style but i am relatively new to drawing manga. I sketch out rough characters on paper then work with them in photoshop.

This is a character design. I was experimenting with different inking pens and different materials to colour in. I used a fountain pen to ink it an used promarkers to colour it in.

This is done on photoshop using different vectoring tools.

Digipack

This digi pack is a part of a wider project involving my A2 media project making a music video. I worked with a small team to create this video and the accompanying promotional material.

I did these drawings whilst travelling in the tube. I have used a range of techniques in each one.

Personal work : Experimenting with 3D software

In my spare time I experiment with different 3D software.

This is a model of a house based on a real life structure of a traditional japanese house. For this I use sketch up. I found this software whilst researching for 3D model making software.

This is a digital 3D face of a troll, which was done in blender. I was researching for animation software and from there I started to research 3D animation software where I came across Blender. This software allows you to build 3D models animation and other various work.

3d face casting

This is a cast of my face, this was the outcome of a day work shop experimenting with the process of casting using earthen ware. This work shop focused on positive and negative shapes and served as an introduction to working with clay.

Story board

This is a story board which I created for a music video project. Its a rough sketched drawings story board. This is the original idea for the music video but through out the project some ideas developed and some of them changed.

Stop motion

This was an experiment with istopmotion. Me and two of my other friends, Mica and MinYee did the voice overs. mica was in charge of making the frames on the computer. MinYee was in charge of writing the speech bubbles, I was the person who moved the characters. The overall concept was all of our ideas. I made the carrot and the malteser. Mica made the omelet and Broccoli. MinYee made the chick and both of us made the onigiri (rice ball).
